Sales Operations Manager (Automotive) South East and London £55,000 basic OTE £72,000 plus Car

Due to unprecedented growth, our client, an automotive, fleet & leasing services provider, is looking to recruit a highly professional Sales Operations Manager. As the Sales Operations Manager you will be strategically managing a team of Senior Account Managers to ensure delivery against business objectives and targets.

The Sales Operations Manager Role:

  • Effectively lead, manage, coach, motivate and inspire a team of Senior Account to aid account development and achieve/exceed individual targets
  • Continuously monitor performance of all groups/accounts, identify trends and forecast performance against sales targets
  • Forge and develop strong relationships with senior contacts and other key stakeholders up to board level within all groups/accounts
  • Attend strategic review meetings with senior contacts and other key stakeholder relationships to aid account development
  • Ensure each group/account has a clearly defined Account Plan and that the plan is cascaded and executed by the account management team within pre-defined timeframes
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and present to key internal stakeholders and Directors
  • Manage the team/sector financial budget within specified company guidelines
  • Renew contracts on the most profitable terms possible through effective management of contract renewal process, ensuring account retention and minimising risk of loss
  • Perform monthly one to one objective meetings and performance review meetings with each direct report, highlighting strengths and weaknesses, providing coaching and support whilst identifying and setting monthly objectives and any remedial action as required
  • Ensure training provided to dealership staff by Account Managers is managed and monitored by Senior Account Managers
  • Identify new sales channels and routes to market and promote new service offerings to the target sectors
  • Research, identify, target and deliver new business



The Person:

  • Demonstrable field-based business development, account management experience at strategic management level, ideally within the automotive industry
  • Demonstrable track record of sales results showing growth and a high level of account retention
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully managing the variance of performance against targets and effectively driving and constantly improving performance
  • Effective time management - ensuring sufficient time spent (each week/on a regular basis) with direct reports, sales team members, and stakeholder
  • Be able to demonstrate coaching and mentoring skills - managing through others
  • Understanding of marketing and the ability to work within financial budgets
  • Adaptable, tenacious and energised self-starter who is results orientated
  • A highly motivated and passionate team player who leads by example
  • Ability to look at the bigger picture and understand the impact a course of action can have both in the short term and long term
  • Willingness to travel - Required to have a regular head office presence, high level of visibility/availability required for interacting with key internal stakeholders to ensure close and effective monitoring of sales performance measurements



As the Sales Operations Manager you'll receive the following salary and benefits:

  • £55,000 basic and an OTE to £72,000
